I just wanted to thank you both so much for our stays with you this summer, especially for my stay with my parents. Both mum and dad hadn’t been away for such a long time due to the pandemic and had lost a lot of confidence getting out and about. I could see them both (as our few days with you went on) visibly get younger in front of me - even managing the walk to Ventnor and back and climbing down to your beach !! I really think that the break gave them a new lease of life – so much so that as soon as they got back they booked a few days away for just the two of them.
Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and we all really hope to arrange another visit with you next year.

Accomodation
Accommodation at Lisle Combe is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We have a combination of rooms to cater for couples, families or groups. On the ground floor we have a double room with en suite. Upstairs, we also have a double room and a family room both with their own private bathrooms. Each room has superb views of the English Channel. We do not have any central heating, however there are electric heaters in all rooms and wonderful log burners in the communal rooms, which keep our guests nice and snug.
All the rooms are equipped with a TV and DVD player, a radio alarm clock, and tea and coffee making facilities. The use of an iron and ironing board is available on request. If families require a cot, toddler bed or highchair, then please request when booking. Additional bedding is available if the weather turns cooler.

Summer and family
Dining room
In the grandeur of the Dining room, our guests can enjoy a traditional English breakfast, all sourced locally, however, if you prefer, we can also serve a lighter breakfast of fruit, yogurt and cereals. There is a light airy feel to the room, with space to spread out and enjoy the Full English Breakfast on offer. This room is large and elegant with outstanding views of the English Channel and garden. Alternatively, weather permitting, why not breakfast just outside on the patio.
Drawing room
Time to just sit and unwind, submerging oneself into the timeless surroundings. The classic family portraits watch over you as you consider the whys and where fors of the moment. Soak up the ambiance and imagine travelling back to a time of decadent family living.
Hallway
This large open space was used to join the two sides of the house together in 1830's. It now houses the large family paintings and creates a wow factor on entering the house. We also set up our bar in the hallway when we hold our occasional 'Pop Up pub'.
Gardens
Our gardens, originally designed by followers of Capability Brown, may have been more flamboyant in years past, still delight throughout the constantly changing seasons. The Gunnera grows rampantly between the ponds of the lower garden. Daffodils, Crocuses and Bluebells are a wonderful sight as the first signs of spring and cover the garden with a mass of sensational colours.
We are asked by our guests not to weed too many times as they come to spot the butterflies, birds, red squirrels and bats that inhabit the wilder undergrowth.
